"18th Harekat Student Festival Launches at University of Neyshabur"
The 18th Harekat Festival was inaugurated at the University of Neyshabur with the attendance of Dr. Bagheri, Director General of Cultural and Social Support Affairs at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
According to the university's public relations office, the Vice Chancellor for Cultural, Social and Student Affairs announced the launch of the 18th edition of the student Harekat Festival at University of Neyshabur wich is started on 28th Ordibehesht (May 18), coinciding with the commemoration day of Hakim Omar Khayyam Neyshaburi, and continuing for one week.
The student festival was held simultaneously with the closing ceremony of the 4th Festival and 8th National Conference honoring Hakim Omar Khayyam Neyshaburi.
Dr. Bagheri congratulated the students and university administration for their recent national achievements and spoke about the importance of student participation and institutional support for the festival. He stated that the goal of Harekat Festival is to inspire hope and develop socially responsible individuals, demonstrating how successful universities are in nurturing capable talent. He described the festival as a movement for synergy and the flourishing of creative potential that would enhance students' scientific, cultural and social development.
Dr. Basafa expressed gratitude to Dr. Shalchi, Deputy Minister for Cultural and Social Affairs, for supporting cultural events, and to Dr. Bagheri for his dedicated efforts. He also thanked Dr. Sadeghi, the president of university, for his supportive approach to cultural and student affairs. Dr. Basafa acknowledged that the festival wouldn't have been possible without the enthusiasm of motivated students and their active scientific associations. He highlighted the university's recent successes in national competitions and attributed these achievements to the hard work of students, dedication of professors, and effective university leadership.
Concluding his remarks, Dr. Basafa reflected on the significance of National Khayyam Day, stating that Khayyam represents not just a name but a message of curiosity and inquiry that students today inherit. He expressed hope that Neyshabur's legacy, which began with Khayyam, would continue to grow through the capable hands of current students.
