The paper of student of the Applied Gemology and Industrial Minerals Department at UN was accepted at the Second National Gemology Conference and was awarded the title of Best Paper and Research.

The Second National Conference on Gemology and Industrial Minerals was held at the Faculty of Sciences and Department of Geology of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad on January 25-27, 2024. 

More than 100 professors, experts and students attended in this conference from all over the country . 

Students of the Department of Gemology and Industrial Minerals of UN (University of Neyshabur) attended by presenting an article related to the gemstone trade in the form of a lecture and an article on the evaluation of demantoid garnet in the form of a poster.

The article "A Perspective on the Gemstone Trade (2019 to 2023)" by Ms. Fatemeh Taghizadeh, under the guidance of Dr. Zahra Mokhtari the faculty member of UN, was awarded as the best paper of the conference. it will be referred to the prestigious Gemology and Industrial Minerals Journal for publication.

Totally, about 30 papers were accepted from all over the country as lectures and posters. After approval by the judging committee were published in the conference proceedings booklet.
