The Department of Electrical Engineering at Neyshabur University officially commenced its educational and research activities in 1393 (2014–2015). In the following years, with the increase in student enrollment and the recruitment of experienced and distinguished faculty members, the department significantly expanded its educational and research activities. These efforts have resulted in a number of notable achievements, including second place at the national level in the Khayyam Robotics Competition, as well as the publication of student research papers in ISI-indexed journals, among other accomplishments.

The program is currently one of the largest undergraduate fields of study at Neyshabur University.

The department offers courses covering all four major undergraduate specializations in Electrical Engineering: Electronics, Power, Control, and Telecommunications. At the end of their fifth semester, students are assigned to a specialization based on their preferences and priorities, as well as the academic planning and capacity of the relevant department.

The Electrical Engineering laboratories comprise 24 laboratories, equipped for both educational and research purposes, providing students and faculty members with facilities to support practical training and research activities.

Merger and New Department Structure

As part of the implementation of the University’s Educational Transformation Plan in 1402 (2023–2024), following the merger of the Faculties of Science and Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering was renamed the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The department will continue its educational and research activities under this new structure.
