Natural Products and Mineral Processing Technologies Group

Iran is endowed with abundant mineral resources, making the development of mining activities an important indicator of economic development and regional prosperity. Mining activities can generally be divided into three main stages: exploration, extraction, and mineral processing.

The diversity of mineral resources found in the country, together with the variety of processing methods applicable to each type of mineral, highlights the importance of research in the field of mineral processing. The application of advanced technologies enables the selection of the most efficient and optimized methods for the extraction and processing of mineral resources, ultimately reducing the amount of chemicals required for processing as well as the energy consumption associated with mineral extraction and production.

In light of the considerable potential of Neyshabur County, the University of Neyshabur has established this academic group and admitted students to the Applied Gemology and Industrial Minerals program. Through its educational and research activities, the group focuses on advancing knowledge and developing expertise in this specialized field.
