The subject of intelligent technologies and cognitive sciences is the mind. An interdisciplinary, new, dynamic and future-oriented knowledge in which the brain and its cognitive processes and functions are studied systematically and scientifically. Technologies derived from this knowledge, in interaction with convergent sciences and technologies (biology, nanotechnology and information) will improve the quality of human life, eliminate deficiencies caused by brain damage, produce intelligent systems and optimally use the human mind and intellectual abilities.

Cognitive sciences are one of the new sciences that, along with nanotechnology, biotechnology and information technology, constitute a set of convergent sciences. This field is composed of subfields of neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, artificial intelligence and philosophy of mind which has found wide application in subfields such as medicine, education, sociology, politics, information sciences, communications and mass media, medical engineering, command and control engineering and even defense and war sciences. Many research institutes and universities are engaged in researches in the field of cognitive sciences and are trying to discover the secret of the greatest human capital, the brain and mind, and to recognize its functions as the most excellent and complex divine gift.

In line with the above goals, the Faculty of Interdisciplinary New Technologies of Neyshabur University, with its facilities, laboratory equipment and esteemed faculty members, began its activities in 2024 by recruiting students in the field of Artificial Intelligence Engineering in Medicine at the master's level.
